Neuenkirch ligger syd for Sempachersøen og består af bydelene Neuenkirch, Sempach Station og Hellbühl, hvor Hellbühl udgør den sydlige del, Neuenkirch centrum og Sempach Station norddelen af kommunen.
Den største bebyggelse i kommunen er Neuenkirch Landsby, som med de mindre samfund Nellen, Werligen, Klosterhöfli, Klösterli og Lippenrüti er vokset sammen til en lang gadeby langs vejen Emmenbrücke-Sursee. Syd for landsbyen flyder Voramstegbach forbi, som længere mod øst munder ind fra venstre i den store Aa.
