Ganterschwil er en by og var indtil den 31. december 2012 en politisk kommune i valgkredsen Toggenburg i kantonen St. Gallen i Schweiz. Den 1. januar 2013 fusionerede kommunen Ganterschwil med Bütschwil til kommunen Bütschwil-Ganterschwil.
Ganterschwil ligger på en højderyg mellem floderne Thur og Necker. Til Ganterschwil hører adskillige enkeltgårde samt landsbyerne Æwil, Anzenwil, Bleiken, Ötschwil og Tobel. Kommunen grænsede mod vest til Bütschwil, mod nord til Lütisburg, mod øst til Mogelsberg og mod syd til Oberhelfenschwil. Kommunegrænsen blev dannet på tre sider af floderne Thur og Necker, kun fra syd kan Ganterschwil nås uden at krydse broen.
