Dransfeld er en by i Sydniedersachsen i Landkreis Göttingen og sæde for Samtgemeinde Dransfeld.
Dransfeld ligger cirka halvvejs på en luftlinje mellem universitetsbyen Göttingen og den bindingsværksby Hann. Münden. Byen ligger ved foden af den vestlige Bramwald og den sydlige Dransfelder byskov, gennemløbes af Auschnippe og krydses af et afsnit af Frau-Holle-ruten på den tyske eventyrvej. Syd for Dransfeld ligger bjerget Hoher Hagen, som er en af de højeste bjerge i den sydlige del af delstaten Niedersachsen.
