Deggingen ligger cirka i midten af Oberen Filstal mellem Bad Ditzenbach og Bad Überkingen i en højde på 465 til 777 meter.
Til kommunen Deggingen hører den tidligere selvstændige kommune Reichenbach im Täle. Til kommunen Deggingen i grænserne fra 31. december 1974 hører landsbyen Deggingen, bebyggelsen Berneck, kirken og klosteret Ave Maria samt husene Bierkeller og Nordalb samt den tidligere bebyggelse Bogenweiler. Til den tidligere kommune Reichenbach im Täle hører landsbyen Reichenbach im Täle og gården Gairen samt den tidligere borg Gerenberg.
