Altenkirchen () er en kommune i Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen på den til Rügen hørende halvø Wittow i Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Den administreres af Amt Nord-Rügen med base i kommunen Sagard. Kendt er de kirkelige lån i Altenkirchen, som gav stedet sit navn.
Altenkirchen ligger mellem Tromper Wiek i øst og den åbne Østersø i nord. Kommuneområdet omfatter den midterste del af halvøen Wittow. Det let kuperede kommuneområde er næsten skovfrit bortset fra kystskovene i nord og øst og anvendes hovedsageligt til landbrug.
