Ludwigsburg er en by i Baden-Württemberg, cirka tolv kilometer nord for Stuttgarts centrum. Den tilhører regionen Stuttgart og den europæiske storbyregion Stuttgart. Det er hovedstaden og den største by i Landkreis Ludwigsburg. Med omkring 93.000 indbyggere er Ludwigsburg den største mellemstore by samt den tiende største by i Baden-Württemberg. Sammen med Kornwestheim danner Ludwigsburg et mellemcenter for de omkringliggende kommuner. Siden den 1. april 1956 har Ludwigsburg været en stor købstad. Residenzslottet, de omgivende grønne områder og alléerne præger bybilledet.
