Aachen [ˈaːxn̩] er en selvstændig storby i den nordrhein-westfalske regeringsregion Köln. Den tidligere kejserby er medlem af Landskabsforbundet Rheinland og er i henhold til Aachen-loven med virkning fra 21. oktober 2009 administrationssæde for byregionen Aachen. I 1890 overskred Aachen første gang en befolkning på 100.000 og har siden da været den vestligste tyske storby. Aachen grænser op til Holland og Belgien.
