Bitterfeld-Wolfen er den største by i Anhalt-Bitterfeld kommune. Byen ligger i den sydøstlige del af Sachsen-Anhalt. Bitterfeld-Wolfen blev dannet den 1. juli 2007 ved fusionen af de oprindeligt selvstændige byer Bitterfeld og Wolfen samt kommunerne Greppin, Holzweißig og Thalheim.
Bitterfeld-Wolfen ligger cirka 25 km nordøst for Halle og cirka 35 km nord for Leipzig. Den maksimale udstrækning er både i nord-syd- og øst-vest-retning ca. ti kilometer hver. Mod øst ligger Muldestausee, sydøst ligger Goitzsche-søen med havneanlæg, og mod vest ligger Sandersdorfer Strandbad. Byen ligger i naturområdet Bitterfelder Kuldområde.
