Kommunen ligger i Odenwald cirka 30 km nordøst for Mannheim og omkring 35 km nord for Heidelberg. Den ligger ved B 38 og bliver gennemstrømmet af Weschnitz.
Rimbach grænser mod nord op til kommunen Fürth, mod øst op til kommunen Grasellenbach, mod sydøst op til kommunen Wald-Michelbach, mod syd op til kommunen Mörlenbach samt mod vest op til byen Heppenheim.
