Seddin er en bydel i kommunen Seddiner See i Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark med cirka 1130 indbyggere på et areal på cirka 528 hektar. Det ligger ved den sydlige bred af den store Seddiner Sø i Naturparken Nuthe-Nieplitz, hvor en stor del af de tilhørende arealer er en del af landskabsbeskyttelsesområdet Nuthetal - Beelitzer Sander.
De første menneskelige bosættelser ved den store Seddiner Sø går mere end 10.000 år tilbage, som arkæologiske fund viser. Det nuværende Seddin stammer sandsynligvis fra en slavisk by ved Elben, som lå omkring den nuværende kirkeplads. Landbrugs- og fiskerlandsbyen blev anlagt som et rundling, og den gamle bykerne er bevaret i sin struktur. Landbogen for Mark Brandenburg fra 1375 nævnte 20 hufe for Sedyn.
