Thüringer Skov er et skovklædt middelhøjde bjerg på 120 km lang og 35 km bredt i midten af Tyskland, beliggende i delstaten Thüringen. Den højeste top i Thüringer Wald er Großer Beerberg på 982 meter.
Rennsteig er en gammel sti, der forbinder toppene i den centrale del af Thüringer Wald. Denne Rennsteig er den historiske grænse mellem Nord- og Mellemtyskland og danner også den gamle grænse mellem regionerne Thüringen og Franken.
