Fristaten Lippe, også kendt som Landes Lippe, trådte som en parlamentarisk demokrati i 1918 til erstatning for fyrstendømmet Lippe. Det var i Weimarrepublikens tid et land i Det Tyske Rige, blev i 1933 jævnet med jorden af NS-regimet og blev i 1947 en del af delstaten Nordrhein-Westfalen.
Det ofte betegnet som „Lipperland“ statsområde for Fristaten Lippe er en del af det historiske landskab Westfalen. I de sidste år af sin eksistens lå det mellem de preussiske provinser Westfalen mod vest og Hannover mod øst. Indtil 1921 grænsede det i øst også op til en eksklave af delstaten Waldeck-Pyrmont omkring Pyrmont og indtil sidste øjeblik til den lille vestfalske eksklave Lügde. I dag svarer det tidligere område af Fristaten i det væsentlige til Kreis Lippe i den nordøstlige del af Nordrhein-Westfalen.
