Bybrønden ved Vechtestrasse stammer fra det 16. århundrede, den har et renæssancehus med støttemure og kors. Ifølge legenden skulle nådebilledet have ligget i brønden fra 1566-1584 og derefter være genfundet uskadt. Af denne grund kaldes den også Maria-brønden.
