Essinghausen er en landsby og østlig bydel af byen Peine i Landkreis Peine i Niedersachsen. Nord for og tæt på byen løber motorvej 2.
Den første nævnte dokumentation af byen findes i 1311 som „Esekeshusen“. Navnet består af genitivformen af personnavnet „Esik“ og endelsen „hausen“. Steder med dette navneskema „personenavn – ing[e] – bosætningsnavn“ kaldes Barsinghausen-typen. Navnet har ændret sig fra „Esekhusen“ over „Eseckhusen“ til sidst til Essinghausen.
