Viborg er en by i Danmark. Indtil 2007 var Viborg hovedbyen i den lige så navngivne provins Viborg. I dag er det hovedbyen i regionen Midtjylland og i kommunen Viborg. Byen har 40.621 indbyggere.
Navnet Viborg har gennem århundreder haft forskellige skriveformer, såsom Wibiærgh, Wybærgh, Wiburgh og - på latin - Wibergis. Orddelen Vi kommer fra gammeldansk og betyder helligdom, mens delen Borg henviser til en høj i terrænet. Navnet Viborg betyder derfor 'det hellige sted på bakken'.
