Byen Pobla de Segur er hovedbyen i kommunen med samme navn. Den ligger i den centrale del af sit kommunale område, nord for samløbet af Noguera Pallaresa og Flamisell. Det er et vigtigt kommunikationspunkt. Her passerer vej C-13 og N-260, som forbinder den med byens hovedstad og med hovedbyerne i de nabokommuner.
