Zaldibar er en elizate, by og kommune beliggende i provinsen Biscay i det Baskiske Land, Spanien. Zaldibar er en del af comarcaen Durangaldea og har en befolkning på 3.043 indbyggere pr. 2019 ifølge det spanske nationale statistikbureau. Zaldibar kan oversættes fra baskisk som "hest dal", fra zaldi og ibar. Byens våbenskjold inkluderer derfor en hest. Zaldívar er navnet på spansk. Byen blev dog kaldt Zaldua eller Zaldúa indtil 1932. Zaldua oversættes så fra baskisk til spansk som "el soto," hvilket kan henvise til et sotobosque, det spanske ord for understory. "Dal af soto" er så en anden mulig oprindelse af det nuværende navn.
