Øverst på Col de la Chaine har du en smuk udsigt. Mod øst ligger Mont Ventoux. Mod vest ligger de bizarre Dentelles de Montmirail. Den første landsby er Suzette, i midten af den vilde bjergkæde.
Den nedstigning, der nu følger, er hurtig og ganske spektakulær. Vejen snoer sig ned ad klippevæggen.
Derefter går det igen stejlt op til landsbyen Suzette. Den anden stigning på dagen.
