Moustiers-Sainte-Marie er kendt for sit fajance. Dette er specielt keramik. Keramikken fra Moustiers er kendetegnet ved sin glasurdekoration. En munk fra Faenza i Italien lærte en lokal keramiker, Pierre Clérissy, hemmeligheden fra øst i 1668 om fremstillingen af stannifer-keramik. En tradition opstod. Den egentlige produktion begyndte først i 1689 med hvid-blå service. Omkring 1710 opstod Berain-dekorationen. Guldalderen begyndte.
