Martel er en kommune i Lot-afdelingen i det sydvestlige Frankrig. Det er en lille middelalderby i en region, der er kendt for sine valnødder og trøfler. Byens navn betyder "hammer", og tre af disse kan ses på byens våbenskjold. Charles Martel, der fik tilnavnet "hammer" efter sin sejr i slaget ved Tours i 732, siges at have grundlagt byen. Henry den unge konge døde her i 1183. I 1219 modtog byen sit charterskrift og var et len under vicomterne af Turenne.
