Kommunen ligger i dalen ved Meurthe 12 km opstrøms fra Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, 16 km fra Gérardmer via Plafond-passet og 43 km fra Colmar via Bonhomme-passet.
Kommunens højde når op på 933 meter ved Feernes klippe, over Hameau des Fourneaux, ved skæringspunktet mellem grænserne for kommunerne Anould, Ban-sur-Meurthe og Gerbépal. Det er en samling af granitblokke, der ligger støttet op ad hinanden.
