Fabrice Hyber(t) skabte i 1989 figurerne "L'Homme de Bessines". Disse 86 cm høje grønne mænd, der blev indbygget i kommunens vandnet og sprøjtede vand ud af alle kropsåbninger, er svaret på en offentlig bestilling på bymobiliar og viser den tætte forbindelse mellem Maraîchin og Marais Poitevin.
Den internationalt kendte, i Paris boende kunstner skabte i 1991 også verdens største sæbe, som blev optaget i Guinness Verdensrekordbogen (22 tons, støbt i en lastbil-kipper). I 1995 transformerede han Paris' Museum for Moderne Kunst til en "Hybermarché" og oprettede en professionel frisørsalon på Centre Georges Pompidou i anledning af udstillingen Féminin/Masculin fra 1996.
