Sitlington, historisk Shitlington, var en by i den gamle kirkelige sogn Thornhill i wapentake af Agbrigg og Morley i West Riding af Yorkshire, som omfattede landsbyerne og småbyerne Middlestown, Netherton, Overton og Midgley. H’et blev droppet fra Shitlington, og Sitlington blev vedtaget i 1929 med godkendelse fra amtsrådet. Befolkningen i det civile sogn ved folketællingen i 2011 var 5.963.
