Polstead er en lille landsby og civil parish i Babergh-distriktet i Suffolk, England. Landsbyen ligger 3 miles nordøst for Nayland, 5 miles sydvest for Hadleigh og 9 miles nord for Colchester. Den ligger ved en lille biflod til floden Stour.
Landsbyen er kendt for at være stedet for Red Barn-mordet i 1827. Offeret Maria Marten, som blev fundet, blev genbegravet på kirkegården ved St Mary's Church, men hendes gravsten blev til sidst chippet væk til ingenting af souvenirjægere. Kun et skilt på en skurevæg markerer nu det omtrentlige sted, hvor det stod, selvom hendes navn gives til Marten's Lane, som grænser op til Water Lane og Mill Street.
