Skipton er en købstad og civil sogn i Craven-distriktet i North Yorkshire, England. Historisk set i East Division of Staincliffe Wapentake i West Riding of Yorkshire, ligger den ved floden Aire og Leeds og Liverpool-kanalen syd for Yorkshire Dales. Det ligger 27 miles nordvest for Leeds og 38 miles vest for York. Ved folketællingen i 2011 var befolkningen 14.623.
