Trowse var en station på Great Eastern Main Line lige syd for Norwich. Den blev åbnet omkring samme tid som Norwich Thorpe og var beregnet til at give en kort pendling fra de ydre forstæder til Norwich.
Lovforslaget for Norwich & Brandon Railway fik kongelig godkendelse den 10. maj 1844. Arbejdet på linjen startede i 1844, og linjen og dens stationer blev åbnet den 30. juli 1845. Trowse station åbnede med linjen og var placeret vest for Hethersett station. Linjen terminerede midlertidigt i Trowse. Forbindelsen til Norwich blev forsinket på grund af behovet for at bygge en bro over floden Wensum, der gjorde floden sejlbar. En måned før N&BR åbnede trådte et lovforslag i kraft, der godkendte sammenlægningen af Yarmouth & Norwich Railway med N&BR, og således blev Trowse station en del af Norfolk Railway.
