Byen er et vigtigt landbrugcenter ved foden af Trevisanske Foralper. Gennem Conegliano flyder bække Monticano, der har sit udspring i bakkerne nord for stedet. Sammen med Vittorio Veneto og Valdobbiadene er det produktionsstedet for Proseccovin. Prosecco-bakkene mellem Conegliano og Valdobbiadene har været på Unesco's Verdensarvsliste siden 2019. Hvert år i september finder turneringen Enodama sted i det historiske centrum. Det drejer sig om dame-spillet, hvor de traditionelle brikker er blevet erstattet af glas med hvid og rød vin.
