Den i Piemonte beliggende provins Biella er en af de yngste italienske provinser. Først i 1992 løskøbte den sig fra provinsen Vercelli, som grænsen mod nord, øst og syd udgør. Mod vest grænser Biella op til provinserne Torino og Aosta. Med sin størrelse på knap 1000 kvadratkilometer er Biella den tredjestørste provins i Italien.
