Spencer-monumentet er et restaureret obelisk monument på vej til Valletta, i Blata l-Bajda, Malta, opført til kaptajn Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer, R.N., en fætter til guvernøren for Malta,
Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby.
Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer blev født i Spencer-familiens hjem i Althorp, Northamptonshire, søn af den 2. jarl Spencer og Lavinia, grevinde Spencer. Han tjente som privat sekretær for kong William IV fra 1827 til 1828, og Spencer blev ridder for sine tjenesteydelser. Han havde en fremtrædende karriere i Royal Navy og var velanset af de mænd, han befalede.
