Dronten ) er en by og en kommune i den nederlandske provins Flevoland, i Østlige Flevoland. Kommunen har 42.936 indbyggere på et areal af 334 km²; byen har 29.070 indbyggere. Planerne for kommunen Dronten blev lavet fra begyndelsen af 1950'erne. De første konkrete planer begyndte i 1958, byggeriet startede i 1960, og den 26. april 1962 bosatte de første beboere sig der. Fra starten var der diskussion om, hvorvidt Dronten skulle være en landsby eller en by. I første omgang blev der regnet med maksimalt 15.000 indbyggere, senere planer forudså en vækst til 30.000 indbyggere.
