Ter Apel er den største landsby i kommunen Westerwolde, i den yderste sydøstlige del af den hollandske provins Groningen. Ter Apel ligger i den sydlige del af Westerwolde og har 9.690 indbyggere. Landsbyen ligger ved Ruiten Aa, hvis dal sammen med Ter Apelerbossen er en del af Nederlandets økologiske hovedstruktur. Ter Apel ligger ved N366, N976 og N391. Det danner den sydlige spids af Semslinjen.
