Den tidligere nævnte gangsti fører mig, med fyrtårnet De Lange Jaap som et fyrtårn i baggrunden, til de Mørke klitter, det eneste skovområde på ruten. I denne skov finder du et helt netværk af stier omkring en slags andedam. Hele området under Huisduinen, herunder Grafelighedsduinene, fortjener en egen artikel. Men på denne vandretur støder vi hurtigt gennem dette lille skovområde mod Julianadorp ved Havet.
