Wolvenberg und Brilschanspark sind fast die einzigen Orte in der Landschaft des Groene Bedding, wo die historische Struktur der Umwallung noch erkennbar ist. Im Brilschanspark ist noch ein authentischer Teil des Festungsgrabens in Form eines hakenförmigen Teiches vorhanden, der einst der Graben eines Bastionswerkes war. Die Brilschans selbst wurde bereits zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts abgerissen. Erst 1963 wurde beschlossen, das Gebiet in einen öffentlichen Park umzuwandeln.
