Im dreizehnten Jahrhundert gründeten Zisterzienserinnen ein Kloster im Nete-Tal. Fünf Jahrhunderte lang blühte das Klosterleben dort. Nach der Französischen Revolution entwickelte sich das Gelände zu einem schönen Landsitz mit Landschaftspark. Heute ist Roosendael der ideale Rahmen für Gruppenunterkünfte, Schulungen, Meetings, Feiern, sanfte Teambuilding-Aktivitäten usw. Jung und Alt, Jugendgruppen, Schulen, Vereine, Familien, Haushalte, Erholungssuchende und Unternehmen genießen hier die Gastfreundschaft, die diesen Ort seit 800 Jahren prägt.
Kempens Landschap vzw hat bereits viele Gebäude restauriert, darunter das "Seuchenhaus" in der Nähe des Ufers der Nete.
