Hampteau ist ein Ort und eine Gemeinde der belgischen Gemeinde Hotton. Hampteau liegt in Wallonien, in der Famenne, aber direkt an den belgischen Ardennen, in der Provinz Luxemburg. Das Dorf liegt beidseitig der N833 zwischen Hotton und La Roche-en-Ardenne und bietet verschiedene Restaurants und Terrassen. Im Sommer findet im Dorf eine von der ansässigen Bevölkerung stark besuchte Kirmes statt. Entlang der Rue du Moulin, der Straße von der N833 nach Werpin, liegt direkt an der Ourthe der charmante alte Teil des Dorfes. Neben der alten Wasser-Mühle, dem "Moulin Faber", findet man dort alte Häuser und Bauernhöfe, die in dem für die Region typischen Kalk- und Sandstein errichtet wurden.
