Der Genval-See liegt am Rand des Soigneewaldes südöstlich von Brüssel. Der See liegt teilweise in Genval, einer Gemeinde von Rixensart in der Provinz Wallonisch-Brabant, und teilweise in Overijse in der Provinz Flämisch-Brabant. Es handelt sich um einen künstlichen See, der 1903 durch die Schaffung künstlicher Ufer rund um ein Moorgebiet entstand. Rund um den See befinden sich einige Bauwerke aus der Belle Époque, darunter das Fünf-Sterne-Hotel Château du Lac. Die Umgebung des Sees ist sehr touristisch und beherbergt unter anderem einen Yachtclub.
