Auf dem Grat zwischen den beiden Pässen befindet sich eine alte römische Straße. Diese Straße trägt noch den Namen Römische Straße (Heirbaan). Dieser Grat bietet einen Blick auf ganz Brüssel (Atomium, König-Baudouin-Stadion) und die Abtei von Grimbergen und, auf der anderen Seite, an einem klaren Tag, den Saint-Rombaut-Turm in Mechelen sowie den Hafen von Antwerpen.
