De Locht ist ein Weiler der Gemeinde Eksel, nördlich von hier. Am 27. September 1914 wurde während eines Hinterhaltes in De Locht ein deutscher Husar von Widerstandskämpfern unter General Deschepper erschossen. Aus Rache brannten die Deutschen 27 Höhlen von De Locht vollständig nieder. Glücklicherweise gab es dabei keine Opfer.
