Auf dem Georges-Jozef Imschootplatz liegt das kommunale Kultur- und Freizeitgebäude Guldepoort.
In der Mitte des Platzes steht ebenfalls eine farbige Beton-Konstruktion nach dem Entwurf des Künstlers Roger Raveel. Eine ähnliche Konstruktion befindet sich auch am Anfang der Kreuzung der N43 mit der Dorpsstraat und am Roger Raveelmuseum.
Seitlich des Platzes steht ein Gedicht des niederländischen Dichters und Schriftstellers Gerard Reve. Gerard Kornelis van het Reve lebte von 1993 bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 2006 in Machelen-aan-de-Leie. Sein Gedicht "Credo" aus dem Jahr 1968 wurde in kupferne Buchstaben in ein Kunstwerk eingearbeitet. Diese fünf Meter lange Mauer steht an der Seite des Georges-Jozef Imschootplatzes. Hinter ihr liegt der Garten von Villa ter Ide und dem Atelier des Künstlers Martin Wallaert.
