Eine Kiefer (Pinus sylvestris), entlang der Molenweg in Niel-bij-As, trägt den Namen 'Dicke Kiefer'. Die Kiefer hat einen Stammdurchmesser von 317 cm (Messung durchgeführt im Jahr 2012) und ist in dieser Region eine der höchsten, dicksten und ältesten ihrer Art. Die Kiefer liegt an einem Fußweg, der die Alte Molenweg mit der Smispoelstraat verbindet und wurde einst als Eckbaum angepflanzt, um Katastergrenzen zu markieren. Aufgrund ihrer derzeitigen Größe und schönen repräsentativen Wachstumsform ist sie ein prägendes Element.
