Oder wie die Einwohner von Mullem selbst sagen: "zum Ende der Welt". Mullem ist ein geschütztes Dorf, das zu den schönsten Flanderns gehört. Es bietet ein perfektes Bild davon, wie ein Dorf in den vergangenen Jahrhunderten aussah. Seit 1977 gehört Mullem zu Oudenaarde. Die ockerfarbenen Häuser – die Farbe des lokalen Adels – dienten mehr als einmal als Filmkulisse.
