In Villers-La-Ville befindet sich die "Abtei Notre-Dame De Villers". Dies sind die Ruinen dessen, was einst eine Zisterzienserabtei war. Tief im Tal des Thyle, das hier eine fast ardennesische Landschaft ausgegraben hat, liegen die Überreste, die es zu bewundern gilt.
Die Abtei wurde 1146 von dem später heiliggesprochenen St. Bernard gegründet und hat sich im Laufe der Jahre zu einer der einzigartigsten Abteien ganz Westeuropas entwickelt. Die Ruine ist über 15 Hektar groß und die Brauerei aus dem 13. Jahrhundert gehört zu den beeindruckendsten Klostergebäuden Belgiens.
