Der Grand Large ist ein kleiner künstlicher See (Fläche von 40 ha) nur wenige Kilometer vom Zentrum von Bergen entfernt. Es gibt einen Hafen für 157 Boote mit Zugang zu zwei Kanälen: dem Centrumkanaal und dem Nimy-Blaton-Péronne-Kanal.
Der Grand Large liegt neben der Bahnlinie zwischen Bergen und Quiévrain, die über eine Eisenbahnbrücke über den Kanal Nimy-Blaton-Péronne führt. Der Zweck des Sees besteht hauptsächlich in der Freizeitgestaltung.
