Pays des Collines ist ein wunderschönes Naturgebiet mit stark bewaldeten Flächen (wie die wunderschönen Wälder Bois d'Hubermont, Bois de St-Amand, Bois d'Antoing, ...) mit durchzogenem Bachläufen und auch viel offenen Acker- und Wiesenland. Kurz gesagt: eine enorme Abwechslung. Pays des Collines ist ein stark zergliedertes Interfluvius zwischen dem Scheldetal im Westen und dem Dendertal im Osten. Die höchsten Hügelgipfel liegen etwa 150 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Es ist eine Fortsetzung der Flämischen Ardennen südlich der Sprachgrenze in der Nähe des Hexendorfs Ellezelles.
