Diese Region zwischen Aarschot-Diest-Tienen wird als "Marginales Dreieck" bezeichnet. Aber ist das wirklich richtig? Oder in welcher Bedeutung wird der Begriff "marginal" verwendet?

Es stammt aus der Zeit, als hier zur Zeit Napoleons kranke und verwundete Soldaten im Hageland aufgenommen wurden. Diese kranken und verwundeten Soldaten wurden "Marginalen" genannt.

Ein besserer Name für dieses Dreieck wäre also das Napoleon-Dreieck.

Außerdem gibt es auch ein Marginales Dreieck in Ostflandern.
