Adelboden ist eine politische Gemeinde im Verwaltungskreis Frutigen-Niedersimmental des Kantons Bern in der Schweiz.
Adelboden liegt im Westen des Berner Oberlands, am Ende des Engstligentals, das bei Frutigen ins Kandertal mündet. Adelboden liegt auf 1350 m ü. M., der höchste Punkt des Gemeindegebiets ist der Grossstrubel mit 3242 m ü. M. ; der tiefste Punkt ist im Engstligental auf 1045 m ü. M. Die Vegetation ist subalpin und alpin: die Hänge sind oft bewaldet, die Plateaus und Terrassen dienen als Alpweiden.
