Ermatingen ist eine politische Gemeinde und eine Ortschaft im Bezirk Kreuzlingen des Kantons Thurgau in der Schweiz. Die Einheitsgemeinde Ermatingen entstand 1975 durch Vereinigung der ehemaligen Munizipalgemeinde Ermatingen mit deren Ortsgemeinden Ermatingen und Triboltingen.
Ermatingen liegt am Südufer des Untersee genannten Teils des Bodensees gegenüber der Insel Reichenau und besteht aus den Ortsteilen Ermatingen und Triboltingen. Der tiefstgelegene Punkt des Gemeindegebiets ist das Seeufer im Norden und liegt auf ca. 396 m ü. M., der höchstgelegene liegt auf dem Seerücken an der Südgrenze der Gemeinde auf 613 m ü. M.
