Cevio, in der alpinlombardischen Ortsmundart Scevi, Cevi [ˈʃevi, ˈtʃevi], ist eine politische Gemeinde im Schweizer Kanton Tessin und zugleich Hauptort des Kreises Rovana und des Bezirks Vallemaggia.
Cevio liegt 23 km nordwestlich von Locarno im oberen Maggiatal. Der Grossteil des Gemeindeareales von fast 15 km² ist von Wald und Gehölz bedeckt. Etwa ein Viertel sind unproduktive Flächen , 5,2 % landwirtschaftliche Nutzfläche und 5,1 % Siedlungsgebiet. Der Ort besteht aus dem Dorf Cevio selbst sowie einigen Weilern und isoliert stehenden Häusergruppen im Bavonatal. Die Weiler sind Mondada, Fontana, Alnedo, Sabbione, Ritort , Foroglio, Rosed , Fontanelada , Faed , Bolla, Sonlèrt , San Carlo.
