Diese Reise startet am Mattmark Stausee oberhalb von Saas-Almagell und führt Sie entlang des Sees zum Monte Moro Pass, wo Sie die italienische Grenze überqueren. Auf der Spitze befindet sich auch eine goldene Maria-Statue. Dieser Gebirgspass wurde in der Vergangenheit oft von Schmugglern benutzt. Auf der italienischen Seite gibt es auch ein "Rifugio", wo man etwas essen/trinken kann. Die Rückkehr erfolgt auf dem gleichen Weg, aber Sie können auf der anderen Seite des Sees gehen. Wenn Sie gut konditioniert sind, können Sie zu Fuss zurück nach Saas-Almagell gehen.
Als ich diese Wanderung machte, gab es noch viele Schneefelder, die ich durchqueren musste, was es zu einer T3+ Wanderung machte. Die Wanderzeit betrug 5,5h bei einer Nenngeschwindigkeit von 5,6km/h
