Der UNESCO-Welterbe-Höhenweg ist eine alpine Route (markiert weiß-blau-weiß), die nur für erfahrene Wanderer ohne Schwindel geeignet ist. Es bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Grossen Aletschgletscher und das UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe Schweizer Alpen Jungfrau-Aletsch. Von Süden hat man einen spektakulären Blick auf das Rhône- und Binntal und die Walliser Alpen! Die Wanderung von der Ankunftsstation der Luftseilbahn Bettmeralp zur Luftseilbahn Eggishorn dauert 3 Stunden. Die Wanderung von der Seilbahnstation zum Bettmerhorn dauert 30 Minuten. Von dort sind es 1,5 km Länge des Grats, danach treffen Wanderer auf einen steilen Abstieg (Fixseile zur Hilfe) nach Elselücke. Ein guter Wanderweg führt dann zur Seilbahnstation Eggishorn, ca. 45 min.
